Angular correlation between {Kappa}{alpha} photons and L{sub 2,3}-M{sub 2,3}M{sub 2,3} auger-electrons following argon 1s photoionization.

Journal Article · · J. Phys. B
An analysis is presented of the angular correlation between K{alpha} fluorescence photons and subsequently emitted L{sub 2,3} - M{sub 2,3}M{sub 2,3} Auger electrons following K-shell ionization. The relative intensities of the Auger lines change in the coincidence experiment compared to the normal L{sub 2,3} - M{sub 2,3}M{sub 2,3} Auger lines measured after direct 2p photoionization. A theoretical model is introduced to account for angular correlation effects and applied to reproduce experimental findings.
