Confinement effects on product selectivity in the pyrolysis of phenethyl phenyl ether in mesoporous silica

We report that pyrolysis of phenethyl phenyl ether confined in mesoporous silicas by covalent grafting results in significantly increased product selectivity compared with fluid phases.
