The background field formalism is used to implement nonperturbative QCD contributions into the diagrammatic technique at T > 0. The leading terms in both the confining and nonconfining phase are identified at large N{sub c}, and the transition temperature is calculated in this limit, which appears to be in good agreement with Monte-Carlo calculations. 28 refs., 5 figs.
