Synchrotron radiation excited photoelectron spectrum of H2+ with rotational resolution

Journal Article · · Journal of Physics B: Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics
OSTI ID:838060
The rotational branching ratio in the photoelectron spectrum of H+2 has been investigated using synchrotron radiation. At the photon energy h nu = 27 eV, the S (DELTA N = 2) branch has a considerably higher relative intensity than when excited with He I (lambda = 584 Angstrom, h nu = 21:218 eV) or with Ne I (lambda = 736 Angstrom, h nu = 16.848 eV) radiation.
