Coordination compounds of VO(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Fe(III) with pantothenic acid: The effect of complex formation on the ligand tautomerism
- Tashkent Pharmaceutic Institute (Uzbekistan)
Complexes of VO(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Fe(III) were synthesized with pantothenic acid (PTT) of the following composition: VO(PTT-H)Cl {center_dot} 5H{sub 2}O, VO(PTT-2H) {center_dot} 2H{sub 2}O, Co(PTT-H)NO{sub 3} {center_dot} 4H{sub 2}O, Co(PTT-H)CH{sub 3}COO {center_dot} 2H{sub 2}O, Ni(PTT-H)NO{sub 3} {center_dot} 4H{sub 2}O, Ni(PTT-H)CH{sub 3}COO {center_dot} 2H{sub 2}O, Cu(PTT-H)NO{sub 3} {center_dot} 2H{sub 2}O, Cu(PTT-H)CH{sub 3}COO {center_dot} 2H{sub 2}O, and Fe(PTT-3H). Some physicochemical properties of these complexes were studied and their structure investigated by spectroscopic and derivatographic methods. The effect of complex formation on the ligand`s tautomerism was demonstrated.
