Independent evaluations of ozone case histories

Two ozone HVAC case histories were evaluated in-depth relative to corrosion, scale and bio-control. The results show excessive copper, and in one case, mild steel corrosion. Copper plating was found on mild steel. Scale deposits accumulated in the tower basin but little was found on heat transfer surfaces. Some algae did form on cooling tower surfaces but generally no bio-mass was found on other surfaces or in the water.
