Measurement of Branching Fractions, and CP and Isospin Asymmetries, for B --> K* gamma

The branching fractions of the decays B{sup 0} {yields} K*{sup 0}{gamma} and B{sup +} {yields} K*{sup +}{gamma} are measured using a sample of 88 x 10{sup 6} B{bar B} events collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy e{sup +}e{sup -} collider. They find {Beta}(B{sup 0} {yields} K*{sup 0}{gamma}) = (3.92 {+-} 0.20(stat.) {+-} 0.24(syst.)) x 10{sup -5}, {Beta} (B{sup +} {yields} K*{sup +}{gamma}) = (3.87 {+-} 0.28(stat.) {+-} 0.26(syst.)) x 10{sup -5}. The measurements also constrain the direct CP asymmetry to be -0.074 < {Alpha}(B {yields} K*{gamma}) < 0.049 and the isospin asymmetry to be -0.046 < {Delta}{sub 0{sup -}} < 0.146, both at the 90% confidence level.
