  1. Gordon Research Conferences, West Kingston, RI (US)

The Gordon Research Conference on Atomic & Molecular Interactions was held at Colby-Sawyer from 7/2/2000 through 7/7/2000. The 118 attendees represented the spectrum of endeavor in this field, coming from academia, industry, and government laboratories, both U.S. and foreign scientists, senior researchers, young investigators, and students. Emphasis was placed on current unpublished research and discussion of the future target areas in this field. There was a conscious effort to stimulate lively discussion about the key issues in the field today. Time for formal presentations was limited. Sessions were held on the following topics: unimolecular processes, non-adiabatic processes, bimolecular reaction dynamics, van der Waals interactions and threshold behavior, surface/molecule interactions, low-temperature reactions/barrierless reactions, and intermolecular and intramolecular energy transfer.
