Environmental protection: Is the public willing to pay?

Last December, current EPA Administrator Carol Browner and three former administrators participated in a forum at Harvard University`s John F. Kennedy School of Government. They shared their views on whether the American public continues to be willing to pay the economic costs of protecting the environment. Robert Stavins, Associate Professor of Public Policy at the Kennedy School, moderated the forum. Excerpts from the program are presented.
