Evaluation of the 3M Empore to RAD Disk

We report testing of the 3M Empore Tc-99 solid phase extraction Rad-Disk for capacity and selectivity of extraction of Tc-99. The disk was tested with U.S. Department of Energy Savannah River high-level waste. The radioactive species Cs-137, Sr-90, and Pu-238,241 were tested. We observed measurable interference with Tc-99 selectivity from SR-90 and Pu-238,241.
