The Steamboat Springs Known Geothermal Resource Area (SBS KGRA) is located in the South Truckee Meadows area approximately 9 miles south of Reno, Nevada. The geothermal system consists of a high (Steamboat Hills) with measured downhole temperatures >400”F temperature geothermal area with reservoir temperatures between (Steamboat Springs). The Steamboat Springs resource region is located temperature area and a moderate 285°F to 360”F directly northeast of the Steamboat Hills area. The Steamboat Springs and Steamboat Hills resource areas share a common heat source; however, the producing geothermal geologic horizons differ.
