Cerro Prieto Field Test of H/sub 2/S removal by upstream reboiling (RP 1197-6)

The objective of this study was to determine the reboiler performance, operating with flashed geothermal steam under various conditions of pressure, temperature, gas concentration and flow ratio of steam and condensate within the unit. The technique used in measuring its performance is discussed. Inlet steam conditions, the test site, steam brine separation equipment, the chemical analysis program, and the present status of the separation equipment are described.
