The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for the electrical treatment of biological tissue. In particular, the present invention relates to an apparatus and method for providing a series of pulses for electrical stimulation of bone growth. The United States Government has rights in this invention pursuant to Contract No. DE-AC09-89SR18035 between the US Department of Energy and Westinghouse Savannah River Company.
