The report summarizes significant factors related to the measurement of electrical resistivity of the particulate matter suspended in a gas stream. It describes some of the mechanisms of electrical conduction in fly ash from coal combustion as it influences resistivity and its measurement. The report also reviews techniques for measuring resistivity and the problems associated with each. It presents some data comparing the values of resistivity obtained by different techniques. (GRA)
