Decay of 3. 912-h /sup 133/La to /sup 133/Ba and level structure of the N = 77 nuclei

The levels of /sup 133/Ba populated from ..beta.. decay of mass-separated /sup 133/La were studied by ..gamma..-ray spectroscopy and a ..gamma..-..gamma..-coincidence experiment. Discrepancies in the literature on /sup 133/Ba excited levels were resolved and the /sup 133/Ba level scheme was extended. The observed positive parity levels are qualitatively accounted for in a weak-coupling model. (AIP)
