Conference ·
OSTI ID:7357688

This public meeting was the second (the first was held at Altanta) designed to permit an exchange of information between the people of the Pacific Northwest and the Federal government, specifically the Energy Research and Development Administration, to provide information to the public and to receive input from the public about that agency's national energy research, development, and demonstration plan in creating energy sources for the future. The first speakers (Dr. Robert MacVicar, President, Oregon State Univ.; Mayor Wes C. Uhlman, City of Seattle; Dr. Robert Fri, Mr. Michael Yarymovych, and Mr. Roger LeGassie, ERDA Headquarters; Mr. Alex G. Fremling, Manager, ERDA Richlands Operations Office; and Mr. R. Glenn Bradley, Manager, ERDA Idaho Operations Office) discussed the plan and the energy situation for the Pacific Northwest, more or less setting the stage for later presentations. In addition to these seven speakers, presentations of 26 other speakers representing Federal and state governments, universities, and the private sector, as well as the panel discussions, are included in this volume.
