OSTI ID:7356910
The crystal structure of the double potassium-thorium molybdate K/sub 2/Th(MoO/sub 4/)/sub 3/ is determined to an R factor of R/subh//subk//subl/=11.6%; it constitutes a derivative of the structure of scheelite CaWO/sub 4/. The K and Th atoms are arranged in an ordered manner, in accordance with the positions of the Ca atoms in the CaWO/sub 4/ structure, and lie in the centers of the corresponding eight-pointed polyhedra, while the Mo atoms lie in the centers of mutually isolated and slightly distorted tetrahedra.
