Trinidad and Tobago production set a record in 1974, Barbados' production rose, and Shenandoah Oil Corporation confirmed an earlier discovery in Guatemala with a 4,800 bopd stepout. With the exception of Trinidad and Tobago, drilling in Central America rose to 16 wells, compared with nine in 1973. Barbados, with 47,246 feet of hole and eight wells, was second to Trinidad's 909,980 feet of hole and 199 wells. Nicaragua recorded three wells for 28,039 feet of hole and Guatemala provided 22,523 total feet of hole with two wells completed and two more drilling at the year's end. Oceanic Exploration drilled two wells offshore Panama with a combined footage of 18,021 and a 6,657-foot well was drilled in Belitz. Progress information on drilling and exploration is given for Trinidad, Tobago, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Panama, Belitz, Honduras, Jamaica, Barbados, Puerto Rico, Lesser Antilles, Costa Rica; Bahamas, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Cuba, and El Salvador.
