Critical surfaces for commerical NB/sub 3/ Sn ribbon and Nb 25 A/O Zr wire

Technical Report ·
OSTI ID:7355275
The critical surface defining the boundary between the superconducting and the normal state has been determined for a sample of commercial vapor-deposited Nb/sub 3/Sn ribbon and a sample of Nb-25% Zn wire. The surfaces are defined over the range 2 to 18/sup 0/K, 0 to 8.5 Tesla, and 0 to 200 A, by a direct measurement of transverse critical current.
