Proton-neutron hole states in Sb isotopes populated in. beta. /sup -/ decay of /sup 128/Sn. [J,. pi. ]

The ..gamma.. rays and x rays following the ..beta../sup -/ decay of /sup 128/Sn have been measured following chemical separation of this nucleus from /sup 235/U fission products. A level scheme for the Sb daughter nucleus is proposed based upon the study of ..gamma..-ray singles spectra, ..gamma..-..gamma.., ..beta../sup -/-..gamma.. and x-ray--..gamma.. coincidence data. Internal conversion coefficients, ..gamma..-ray transition intensities, and logft values were combined to deduce spins and parities. Hindrance of the ..beta../sup -/ decay of a d/sub 3///sub 2/ neutron was partially accounted for by a core-polarization model. (AIP)
