Proposed rules prescribing an energy efficiency improvement target for each of the following appliances are presented: refrigerators and refrigerator-freezers; freezers; dishwashers; clothes dryers; water heaters; room air conditioners; home heating equipment (not furnaces); television sets; kitchen ranges and ovens; and clothes washers.
