Critical temperature of a superconducting transition and electron--photon interaction in plastically deformed rhenium

The influence of plastic deformations on the increase in the critical temperature of the superconducting transition in rhenium is investigated. The paramagnetic susceptibility and resistivity of rhenium monocrystals deformed to different degrees are measured in the 0 to 140/sup 0/C range. It is established that the electron-phonon interaction parameter varies because of the plastic deformation, and its increase governs the shift in the critical temperature.
