Stellar neutron capture in the thallium isotopes

High-resolution neutron capture cross section data for isotopically enriched samples of /sup 203/Tl and /sup 205/Tl were taken at the Oak Ridge Electron Linear Accelerator time-of-flight facility. The resonance parameter data were used to calculate neutron capture probabilities over a range of stellar interior temperatures. A semiempirical estimate is also interpolated for the radioactive /sup 204/Tl and /sup 205/Pb, and the results are used to recalculate the time scale of s-process nucleosynthesis. (AIP)
