Title: Safe lighting and energy conservation are compatible. [Safe Lighting and Energy Conservation]

Book ·
OSTI ID:7349773

The objective of the discussion is to determine how good lighting can be achieved at minimum initial cost and at minimum operating cost. Accomplishing this involves five major decision areas: the right light source, the right lighting fixture, the right maintenance system, the right lighting control system, and pleasant environment. The decisions are discussed with examples cited in relation to productivity. Whether the building be a store, an office, or a school, it should be lighted with the most efficient light sources and the best technology available in maintaining and operating the building efficiently and safely at the lowest possible cost.
