Direct determinations are presented for ..cap alpha../sub e/, the rotation--vibration coupling coefficient (important in determining the moment of inertia and equilibrium internuclear separation), from resolved Q-branch spectra for /sup 16/O/sup 16/O, /sup 14/N/sup 14/N, and /sup 18/O/sup 18/O.
