Model calculations for radiative pion proton scattering. [298 MeV]

Calculations have been made of ..pi../sup +-/p bremsstrahlung cross sections at an incident pion laboratory kinetic energy of 298 MeV and at backward photon angles. Our formalism incorporates off-the-energy-shell ..pi..p scattering amplitudes and on-the-mass-shell electromagnetic vertices. Theoretical cross sections are compared with recent experimental data.
