The behavior of the cross section for diffraction production of a vector meson V with mass of about 2 GeV (for example, the F* (clambda) vector meson) in neutrino-nucleon collisions is discussed. It is shown that the cross section for the reaction depends substantially on the diffraction-peak slope parameter for the cross section for the process VN..-->..V+hadrons. Consideration is given to the possibility of explaining the distributions in hadron mass in the antineutrino beam in the experiments at FNAL as due to production of ordinary (uncharmed) vector hadron states in the spirit of the generalized vector dominance model.
