Distribution of some chemical elements between dissolved and particulate phases in the ocean. Research period: August 1, 1975--July 31, 1976. [Fallout /sup 210/Po and /sup 210/Pb diffusion in oceans]

Progress is reported on studies on the distributions of fallout /sup 210/Pb and /sup 210/Po in dissolved and particulate states in the Gulf of Maine and a transect of the equatorial North Atlantic Ocean. The ratio of /sup 210/Pb//sup 226/Ra and /sup 210/Po//sup 210/Pb in seawater and suspended particulate matter in samples collected from 10 stations in the tropical and eastern North Atlantic and two stations in the Pacific was also determined.
