Strange giant resonance in (K/sup -/,. pi. /sup -/) reaction

The L = 1 contribution to the strange giant resonance in the /sup 40/Ca(K/sup -/,..pi../sup -/) strangeness exchange reaction is discussed. The calculations suggest that much information may be obtained on the structure of nuclei as well as the properties of hypernuclei. (SDF)
