In response to the energy crisis of 1973-74, NSF-RANN funded proof-of-concept experiments involving the use of solar energy to supply part of the heating required in four public schools. The purpose of the experiments was to demonstrate that solar heating is a technologically viable option in response to the shortage of fossil fuels. The report briefly reviews results of the experiments. (GRA)
