Coal technology program. Quarterly progress report for the period ending September 30, 1976
This quarterly report covers the progress made during the period July 1 through September 30 for the Oak Ridge National Laboratory research and development projects that are carried out in support of the increased utilization of coal as a source of clean energy. These projects are supported by the ERDA Divisions of Coal Conversion and Utilization, Fossil Demonstration Plants, Fossil Energy Research, Physical Research, and Biomedical and Environmental Research, and by the EPA Office of Research and Development through interagency agreement with the ERDA. The report is divided into the following sections: Hydrocarbonization Research and Residue Carbonization Projects; Supporting Research and Development in Separations Technology; Experimental Engineering Support of an In-Situ Gasification Process; Coal-Solvent-Hydrogen Mixing; Materials Technology; Chemical Research and Development; Alkali Metal Vapor Topping Cycles; Critical Components Test Facility; Engineering Studies and Technical Support; Process and Program Analysis; and Life Sciences Program Synthetic Fuels.
