Measurement of absorbed radiation in outer space from the solar flare of August 4, 1972

Various parameters of the measured absorbed radiation in outer space from the solar flare of August 3, 1972, are discussed including the proton spectra and radiation dosage. It is noted that the studied flare was the strongest by integral proton flux in the energy range of 30 to 200 MeV, at least from 1956 to the present. (JFP)
