The following aspects of the supply of liquefied natural gas to the northeastern part of the U.S. are discussed: major facilities and equipment; institutional considerations and environmental impacts; site selection criteria; time required to implement an LNG project; projected availability and reliability of supply; projection of future imports to the northeast region; cost projections; and secondary benefits.
