Biokinetics of Tl-201 in mice after intravenous and oral administration of TlCl

Carrier-free /sup 201/Tl was administered to fasting mice orally and intravenously. Data were collected at /sup 1///sub 2/ minute intervals up to 7 days. Results are discussed with regard to the following: tissue distribution curves following intravenous injection; comparison of heart-to-blood and heart-to-lung ratios from intravenous and oral administration, and comparison of experimental data with results from compartment model calculations. The rate constants obtained from the compartment model analysis are useful in understanding the physiological and biochemical kinetics of /sup 201/Tl in the intact subject. (HLW)
