Balloon-borne low temperature air sampler

Design, construction, and performance of a balloon-borne low-temperature stratospheric air sampler are described. The sampler can collect 16 samples of 10-liter STP air at different stratospheric altitudes. The collected samples allow measurement of the trace gases H/sub 2/, H/sub 2/O, CH/sub 4/, CO, CO/sub 2/, and N/sub 2/O.
