The technology being developed for deepwater drilling is reviewed. Exploratory drilling as experienced is summarized, and the emplacement and use of deepwater platforms are discussed. The development of guyed towers is described along with emplacement of deepwater pipelines, offshore production terminals, and subsea production systems. (JRD)
