Volume 6 continues the report on policies and recommended actions for a number of the program areas--solar energy, geothermal energy, fuels from coal and biomass, and fuel cells--and options for power plant cooling. It is a very exhaustive description of the total research and development program, treating conventional and alternative energy sources, energy demand and conservation, energy efficiency, facility siting, and other areas.
