The use of methyl 1,1-dimethylpropyl ether (tert-amyl methyl ether or TAME) in oxygasoline technology has stimulated interest in the thermodynamic properties of TAME + hydrocarbon mixtures. Excess molar enthalpies, measured at 298.15 K in a flow microcalorimeter, are reported for the four binary systems formed by mixing methyl 1,1-dimethylpropyl ether with hexane, 2,3-dimethylbutane, cyclohexane, or benzene. Smooth representations of the results are presented.
