Superconducting resonators having large capacitance

                        The characteristics of superconducting resonators of the coaxial type which are heavily loaded by a capacitance are investigated. The resonators are designed for capacitive pickups of small mehcanical vibrations. The maximum Q of the resonators was equal to 4 x 10/sup 6/ for a capacitive gap of 1.4 mm at a frequency 1250 MHz. The maximum intensity of the high-frequency electric field equaled 29 MV/m.
