Cross section preparation for the continuous-energy Monte Carlo code VIM

Improvements in the methods used to represent cross sections in the data library for the Monte Carlo code VIM are discussed. The degree to which observed difficulties have been eliminated and the reliability of the current VIM library based on ENDF/B Version 3 data are illustrated by comparison of broad-group cross section calculations made by VIM and by ETOE-2/MC/sup 2/-2. 4 tables.
