The second-sound velocity of a superfluid mixture increases when a static and homogeneous magnetic field is applied. In particular, for dilute mixtures (molar /sup 3/He concentration <0.1) and low temperatues, (0.1<0.6K) the relative velocity increase is independent of concentration and is given by ..delta..u/sub 2//u/sub 2/approx. =5 x 10/sup -16/B/sup 2//sub e/T/sup -2/. It should be easily observed whenever B/sub e/T/sup -1/ is larger than 10/sup 5/ GK/sup -1/ and can lead to a novel measurement of the magnetic susceptibility.
