Drawings are given for a PDP-11 Selector Line Unit (SLU), designed to interface to the PDP-11 Unibus and to a maximum of 8 worker machines. Each worker may use either 12 or 16 bit I/O. One connection will be made to the PDP-6. The SLU will allow data transfer to any worker on a selected basis. The selection of a worker will be made by the SLU on a strict priority basis in case of simultaneous requests. Each machine's priority will be determined by the position of its cable connection in the SLU. The SLU is expected to connect to Selector Adapters at the worker machines. These Selector Adapters will also have the teletype network connected to them. Thus the SLU must operate within the transfer procedure as defined for the teletype system.
