Intelligent robots and computer vision IX: Algorithms and techniques; Proceedings of the Meeting, Boston, MA, Nov. 5-7, 1990
- Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA (United States)
The newest research results, trends, and developments in intelligent robots and computer vision considers topics in pattern recognition for computer vision, image processing, intelligent material handling and vision, novel preprocessing algorithms and hardware, technology for support of intelligent robots and automated systems, fuzzy logic in intelligent systems and computer vision, and segmentation techniques. Attention is given to production quality control problems, recognition in face space, automatic vehicle model identification, active stereo inspection using computer solids models, use of coordinate mapping as a method for image data reduction, integration of a computer vision system with an IBM 7535 robot, fuzzy logic controller structures, supervised pixel classification using a feature space derived from an artificial visual system, and multiresolution segmentation of forward-looking IR and SAR imagery using neural networks.
