Contribution of quasiparticle plus two phonon components to the wave functions for low-lying nonrotational states of deformed nuclei

An analysis is reported of the effect of quasiparticle plus two phonon components on the energy and structure of states of odd nuclei. It is shown that for states with excitation energies below 0.7 to 1.0 MeV, these components can be neglected for highly deformed nuclei. Phonons with lambda greater than 3 can be ignored in calculations of the parameters of states with energies less than 1 MeV. When the structure of nonrotational states with excitation energies in excess of 1.0 to 1.5 MeV is investigated, the quasiparticle plus two phonon components must be taken into account in the wave functions.
