Starting from kinetic theory, and neglecting dissipation, the hydrodynamic equations for anisotropic superfluids are derived. Only the case of a uniform texture in the absence of finite external fields is considered. Other than possessing a normal fluid density which is a diagonal tensor, anisotropic superfluids are characterized by the same hydrodynamics as in the isotropic case. These results constitute a generalization of the kinetic theory of Khalatnikov, which applies to the case of an isotropic quasiparticle spectrum dependent only on density.
