High-resolution photoelectric scans of selected lines of the A/sup 2/Pi--X/sup 2/..sigma../sup +/ (0,0) band of MgH in the spectrum of Arcturus are compared with synthetic spectra to show that the /sup 24/Mg//sup 26/Mg isotope ratio in the atmosphere of Arcturus is 7.2(+3,--1.5), the same as the terrestrial ratio. There is evidence that the /sup 25/Mg isotope is deficient. We tentatively conclude that the /sup 24/Mg//sup 25/Mg ratio is about twice the terrestrial ratio of 7.9. (AIP)
