Adaptive digital filter

Some applications of the adaptive digital filter are of particular interest at Sandia Laboratories. It is a time-varying, autoregressive, linear system which can be used in system identification, signal enhancement, and linear prediction. In such applications it may often give remarkable results as compared to the performance of nonadaptive systems. This report describes the adaptive digital filter itself, some of the theory of operation, and examples of its use in Sandia projects. 13 figures.
