Methanation processes. Interim report
The following methanation schemes are currently being evaluated: product recycle methanation process, cold quench process, combined product recycle and cold quench process (IGT Hygas Plant), wet methanation process, tube wall reactor (TWR) system (Bureau of Mines), hot gas recycle (HGR) system with plate reactor (Bureau of Mines), hot gas recycle (HGR) with packed bed reactors, fluidized bed methanation process (Bituminous Coal Research), packed-tube methanation process (Consol), and the liquid phase methanation (Chem Systems).
