Comparative analysis of the 1976 ERDA Plan and Program

The fiscal year 1977 budget proposal and the updated plan and draft program documents submitted to Congress in 1976 by the U.S. Energy Research and Development Administration (ERDA) are reviewed. The 1976 plan and program are compared to the issues identified by The Office of Technology Assessment (OTA) in its first report on ERDA's plans and programs, An Analysis of the ERDA Plan and Program, that have taken place since the first version was submitted are examined. ERDA's major program areas were covered: (1) fossil energy; (2) nuclear energy; (3) solar, geothermal, and advanced systems; (4) conservation; and (5) environmental and health.
