Rowe Industries is on the National Priorities List. The site was used for the manufacture of small motors for appliances, such as tools and hairdryers. Tetrachloroethene, trichloroethene and 1,1,1-trichloroethane are the contaminants of greatest concern at the site. Human exposures associated with the use of ground water from residential wells has been eliminated by the installation of the public water supply. The site poses a limited public health threat to adjacent residences through exposure to contaminants by incidental contact with ground water and soil gas.
